Seems like a solid bed, more complicated than I was up for
TL;DR The bed is solid with most everything made from wood. The stain is a nice dark brown. Broken rail out of box.
I was already concerned about going with a Twin vs Twin XL size wise, but this bed had good ratings (including checking fakespot) and looked solid.
It comes in 2 large boxes. Boxes looked good and everything is well packed.
On opening I thought, it had way more pieces than I was expecting to have to assemble. This is basically 2 beds though w/slats everywhere so makes sense. If you want something easy this is not it.
After seeing the large number of parts I was more discouraged about continuing vs just returning. Then I found a broken board with a rail attached, which was supposed to be on a bottom wall for the trundle. After further examination I realized it was previously glued and stapled to the mount points and those were also glued on. Fixing would require removing those mount points which would likely damage the wall.
I imagine this is a one-off mistake during packing. The other side looked good as did all other parts.
For myself, Im returning and going with something easier as well a Twin XL in for size
Overall wall I still would recommend for someone wanting a twin that is sturdy with drawers and a trundle.
