Had triple bypass surgery four months ago. I was anxious to get in and out of a bed. After doing extensive research online, I decided to purchase model 9188 because it laid flat and it had dual motors to work independently for the foot rest and the back rest. Having a lift chair meant that I did not have to pull or push with my arms to get up. Furthermore the chair was more comfortable than my bed for sleeping. After using it for three months, and having purchased a new mattress, I still prefer sleeping in my chair. There is also a little cushion that is perfect for my back. I still have not used the massage and heat system but probably will during the winter. This is the best purchase Ive made this year. I would recommend this chair for anyone who has had surgery and need help to get in and out of bed. With this chair, you will sleep soundly and will not need help from anyone to get up or down.
