We bought this in a queen size as an upgrade to our childs toddler bed, which could double as a guest bed when needed. The bed looks ok and seems durable enough but I have a couple of reasons I wouldnt buy this again.
/Its particle board. Yes I know you get what you pay for and this is a relatively inexpensive bed with storage. But particle board is heavy! This thing will inevitably stay in the place we put it until the end of time.
//There is nowhere to grab the drawers to open them. A handle or knob would be nice (although a small child would most likely break it off eventually) or even a little recessed area along the top or bottom in which to grip for opening.
//The platform is comprised of about 6/8 rough wooden planks oriented head of the bed to the foot. They arent anchored in any way and they slide all over back and forth. Lift the mattress a bit and see into the drawer below. At the very least the slats should be fixed to each other, /style, or use a a couple of big pieces of plywood instead. (Which we may end up doing anyway). The wood is also so rough that splinters are way to get and I worry about it tearing up the underside of the mattress over time.
Appropriate for a childs bed but not much else
