For budget furniture, its pretty good

I had seen the reviews saying this chaise wasnt sturdy enough for everyday use. I got it for a spare room that serves as a guest bedroom once in awhile, so I didnt expect it would be used that much. This chaise almost looks like high/end furniture. It looks like a chair with separate ottoman, but the two pieces are attached. Because it has a platform that juts out from the back of the chair frame (the platform supports the back of the chair when its laid flat for sleeping), this works best in a corner where it doesnt need to be flush against a wall. Its fairly comfortable to sit in, although not for long periods of time, and I really like putting my feet up on the chaise. I dont think the chair would be comfortable for sleeping unless you put some kind of pad on top of it. I will be putting a thick sleeping bag on top of the chair as a topper when I have a guest. Its narrower than a twin bed, so this isnt an ideal sleep solution, but itll do in a pinch. Assembly was a bugger. Aside from the fact that I hate Allen wrenches (!), the instructions were not entirely sufficient, especially regarding attachment of the armrests. Once I got it put together, though, I was very happy with it. While I didnt expect it would be used that much, I find myself sitting on the chaise to read or work on my computer. I wouldnt get this for my living room, but its a very nice occasional chair for my spare room. As budget furniture goes, its very nice. Me likey!
