Easy assembly, appears to be sturdy although I havent finished making the drawers yet. The one concern I have is with the pieces that hold the wooden slats for the mattress. They are made of plastic, so if you need to disassemble the bed these plastic inserts will break! I accidentally placed one on incorrectly and when I tried to take it apart one side of the plastic inserts broke, and the other one will not stay in the hole for support. There are no extra pieces, so make sure you follow the set up instructions correctly. The design of these slat holders are a one time deal, not the best design in my eyes. Again, have not assembled the drawers but I noted they are made of a clear type plastic which tells me they are not designed to hold an abundance of weight. Headboard and foot board are nice, should hold up for a good period of time. Great Buy
