Enough strength. Love! Great price for the quality compared to others of a similar style. I was worried it wouldnt be comfy enough, given the reviews about stiffness. It is I indeed sturdy but with a nice throw pillow, easy enough to slump into for some heavy reading or relaxing. Wanted to order another but it was bigger than expected (which I like), so we dont have enough space. Recommend for sure!
