Sturdy for light items. Its very low profile. My existing 15 mattress really doesnt fit in bottom. 3 year old cant sit up in bed. You want no more than 8 down there. Ladder/Steps are kinda loose. Kids will rip them out soon for sure.
But, easy to access top bunk. Great for low ceiling rooms. Seems sturdy from here.
Just wish there was a recommendation for bottom mattress size, like there is for top.
