This will be a challenge to put together by yourself, but if you have help it will be rather easy. The space underneath is larger than I expected and my son does his homework every night there. He also, will sit under there and read. This allowed for a lot more space in his room than he would have had without lofting the bed. It is quite sturdy. I was concerned that it might be a little flimsy but that is not the case at all. Very durable.
