This item is not difficult to put together if you know how to use tools. It is made of particle board/ plastic so it is extremely malleable. People that dont know how to put these things together, or have trouble with them are usually not people who put things together regularly or at all. Overall its sturdy enough for a small child forever. I laid on it for a while and I go 260. Solid and basic.
