The chairs are more sturdy than I expected for the price. However, they were both packaged poorly in cheap cardboard. 4 of the 8 legs had damage to them because they were just wrapped together allowing the metal to take the finish off of the wood of the leg next to it in transit. (See pics).
They took a while to arrive so rather than deal with the return process I used some stain and furniture repair coloring to fix the legs.
The other thing to note is that the legs and hardware for assembly are in a hidden Velcro pocket underneath the main seat of the chair. The instructions were less than helpful so it took two of us about 15 minutes to find the legs and hardware.
Overall, not bad for the money, but definitely know what to expect here.
