Very easy to assemble. Not sturdy enough for my 8 year old that thinks its a jungle gym, have to reinforce with some additional supports on the sides and back. Ive had to tighten the bolts a few times on the piece that keeps him from rolling out of bed. Other than that the mattress frame itself is sturdy and the stairs are as well. good material
