This bed is perfect for what I needed. I was nervous, but the queen bed does fit underneath between the ladder and the footboard. The ladder is accessible and both kids are happy. Also very sturdy. I Would recommend having at-least three human to get pieces together a lot easier. Cheap sturdy stylish!!!
