I bought two to place side by side for a queen shikibuton. Theres leftover frame hanging out the sides showing the bolts and rail with this setup though, so if you mind then either go with a king mattress or get a different frame.
The all-wood construction smells great, looks great, and feels solid all around. I love the stain color and how it brings out the grain in the wood.
Its easy to assemble for the most part. I recommend installing the legs first instead of last so that you wouldnt have to flip the heavy bed over at the end, especially if youre doing this by yourself.
Aug 2021 Update: I like it so much I got a third for the guest bedroom, this time in Natural to visually maximize the tiny space. Its so easy to put together I didnt bother with the instructions this time. Very happy with all three that I bought.
