    Decent frame, nightmare to assemble

So heres my Good, Bad, and Ugly review for this product. Overall, its a decent loft bed frame. However, at this price point, I expected more. The Good Ordered the bed late Jan and it arrived at the end of the month. So shipping time was realistic and arrived ahead of the projected estimates. I got it in espresso, and it looks nice. Once assembled, the frame is pretty sturdy and the shake is reasonable for a loft bed. It doesnt feel like it is going to fall apart. The Bad Whoever packaged the product did their best to prevent damage to all of the parts. Majority of the pieces came intact and undamaged. However, I too had one piece that was cracked, and another that was badly dented. This Id have to lay more with how the boxes were handled during shipping, than the product itself. The cracked part was easily patched and wasnt fatal. One of the boards that would serve as both a step support and shelf had a nasty dent, but this too was easy to work around by just flipping over the piece. The Ugly This is probably my biggest point of contention. Majority of the pieces in this build were not labelled, and then there were parts that were labelled but not properly. I spent way more time building this than I thought I would. furniture is a cakewalk compared to this build. Some parts of the instructions are pretty unclear. Given the cost of this item, I wouldve hoped that all of the parts were clearly and correctly labelled. Sadly, this is not the case here. The other thing I took issue with is how the stairs attach to the frame, while you have to attach the back of the stairs to its parallel back post, nothing is securing the front of the stairs. Meaning one could potentially kick or push the front of the steps and possibly crack the wood that is connecting the backboard to the post. I ended up drilling in another screw to connect the base of the stairs to the front post. Im also considering making a middle post to place below the bottom shelf to add additional support and reduce the weight/load the bottom shelf currently faces. Summary As I stated, the overall end product is decent, and my child really likes it. However, at this price point, I cant really recommend it. If it were $800 less, I could forgive a lot of the issues I encountered. Sadly, this is not the case.
