I love this bed. I am an adult. 5'4, 135 pounds and I have a small bedroom. I needed space for a dog crate as I am fostering a medium-sized dog and this is perfect. I left the front rail off and I just jump right in the mattress slides away from the back every so often but I just push it back and it's not a big problem at all. It's sturdy and quiet. This bed is great for people with limited space
