So we bought 2 of these beds (black with blue storage) for my boys. They absoutely love them!! The stairs make it so much easier/safer for them to get in and out of as opposed to a ladder. The biggest thing for me was since they share a room I wanted to maximize their play area instead of always having to be in their sisters room to play and these are perfect for that.
Assembly wasnt all that difficult. I put one together myself last night and the second one up this morning and was able to do it pretty much on my own. I did have the kids help hold pieces and what not. My husband also went behind me and made sure everything as nice and tight. The obly thing I would suggest would be to have some wood glue on hand. The cams for the drawers did not want to stay in place so i decided to glue them in to make sure they stayed. And after a couple trial and errors of putting pieces together and then taking them apart to accomodate other pieces (mainly the round pieces on the top) they went fairly easy. My daughter is already asking for a white one....so we may end up with three in the house in a few months.
Overall very happy with the beds. Reason for 4 stars was because of the creativity i had to do to get a few pieces together as mentioned above.
