Definitely needs a cushion, as expected. Nice and sturdy for an average size person. My husband is a big guy about 235 and not very tall. The weight allowance here says 330 but I doubt it based on how the chair reacts when he uses it. Im fine with it but I weigh about 136. We bought two. Would buy again as long as it lasts awhile. Time will tell. Very easy to assemble. Very attractive but it doesnt really matter because youll be covering it anyway!
