My husband assembled the bed and he did require help to put it together and get up. The bed is definitely sturdy and feels pretty heavy! I do love that it is metal (so much sturdier than ) but has the look of ! Our daughter loves that she can stand underneath it (she is 10) and now has more space in her room. Simple, unique and elegant
