I hate MDF, especially since companies are now trying to dupe customers be referring to manufactured wood as simply wood. Let the buyer beware, as many companies have zero scruples about their advertising.
Im done with my rant. This stand is very well built, with none of that glued wood dust covered by a veneer. The only non-wood I found was the top. I dont know what to call that material, but it is sturdy, heavy, and hard, resistant to scratching or denting.
It looks great and we get many compliments on it.
It was assembled by a friend who is a carpenter. Assembly includes a step in which you attach 2 pieces via a locking mechanism. It was about impossible to do by hand, but he quickly got a rubber mallet and that got the job done quickly.
Sturdy and attractive. Highly recommend.
