BEEFY Construction. Buy magnets to attach bed skirt!

Chose this specific frame for two primary reasons: First was that other frames, I read complaints that you could feel the bars through the mattress for those using foam mattresses. Other frames had much wider gaps between the bars that would support the mattress, somewhere around 6 between their bars, where this frame with wooden slats has way more surface area. Second reason was the inset legs. Its not something you immediately think of, unless youve accidentally stubbed your toe on a coffee table or similar that has legs on each corner. I dont think there are many scenarios where you arent wal around the corner of the end of the bed, so this will definitely prevent stubbing your toes! At the 100 price, it competes with all the other bed frames here on , but this one is definitely leagues ahead in construction. High quality nuts and bolts fit together hefty square tubes. Once everything is firmly tightened, the entire thing feels like one piece; no flex or wobble. This is my first bed frame that uses wooden slats. They are definitely wooden with a sticker on top. Im assuming this is to prevent splintering on the side that touches your mattress, which is nice. Although definitely makes the mattress slip around if you havent secured it some other way. Solutions to that below. Assembly: While I would definitely consider this simple to assemble and includes all necessary tools (allen key and a small box wrench), I can see where it might be problematic for those who arent as physically fit. The box full of parts itself is absurdly , even for me, so you may have to crack it open wherever the box lays and unload all the parts. Would also recommend a socket wrench and a longer hex key to make assembly a bit easier on the wrists. Kit even includes spare parts! Basically one of each of the nuts/bolts and plastic pieces that hold the slats. The one catch to using this type of frame is that your mattress will easily move around. Maybe not a big deal if youre not prone to moving yourself, and its not like it slips around while youre laying on it, but could be annoying for some. My suggestion is to get a bed skirt, unless you happen to like seeing underneath the bed on an everyday basis (you know, where youre going to store things). BUY MAGNETS! This is a frame, which is magnetic, and you can simply hold a bed skirt onto this frame via magnets. Since most bed skirts I know of are made up of a large sheet with the skirt attached, the fabric will provide a decent amount of friction for your mattress.
