If this is a heavy duty bed I fear what the other ones are like. The middle parts seem like the very minimum sturdiness that any bed frame should have, and the outside longer parts seem fairly sturdy. After all the parts are all hollow. The only truly heavy duty parts are the two shorter sides of the outside of the bed. Not sure it would hold up for more than one move to another home. I guess I cant really complain much for $200 bucks though. There were a few stickers on it that were difficult to remove, Ill never understand why companies put stickers on their products that are difficult to remove. I suppose you could leave them on, but they are bright yellow so I wanted them off, Im a bit too OCD for that.
The instructions arent great, but instructions for these things never are. I wouldnt recommend taking the top part of the sticky tape off all of the way, the tape goes all the way to the edges, you wouldnt be able to put a fitted sheet or mattress cover on if you did. I just started with taking about a 2 strip off of the two center pieces to see how it holds up. From other reviews it seems quite sticky. It is nice looking and Im not looking to return it, besides putting it back in the box would be literally impossible, and I am tired of having my mattress on the floor. And again, I dont really have a lot of money to be spending more than this anyway.
The box was very damaged, which I blame on UPS because they are the worst... there were tears and cuts and footprints (?!) all over the box, and there is some scratches on one of the sides pieces of the frame. (They lost it and it took two weeks to get here! Seriously consider using someone else to ship your stuff) Anyways hopefully this bed holds up, Ill update this review in a couple months.
Not as heavy duty as I expected.
