This bed is performing well after several nights of use. It arrived with some minor damage to the box and loose parts rattling around inside; however, none of that proved a problem. Its a very heavy, unwieldy box; so, while I was able to move and assemble it on my own, it would have been much easier with another set of hands. Apart from the weight, setup is easy (just unfold the unit and screw in four legs). It comfortably fit within my existing bed frame after removing the slats. The frame is now merely decorative as the adjustable bed is self/supporting on its own legs.
The lift mechanisms work well, even with a conventional coil spring mattress. Purchasers should recognize that folding a mattress to sit up is a much different experience than sitting up against a headboard and pillows. Youre pushed halfway down the length of the bed and should expect to be out/of/reach of a bedside table. There are no automatic settings; so, you must hold buttons at all times you seek to raise of lower the foot or head. Not a big deal, but some memory settings would have been nice. No massager or usb ports, but a massager would have been useless and the usb ports arent worth the hundreds of dollars more they would have cost. All/in/all, I feel the bed was a good value and worth every penny I paid for it. Again, BIG, HEAVY box. Be prepared for that.
