My mother and I are both on the larger side and my mom is disabled. I bought this for her to help her sleep and get out of bed in the morning. it works like a charm. so well in fact I bought a second larger one for myself. personally I am coming in at the 500 Lbs mark and have a 150 lbs dog that sleeps with me. this thing works like a champ. We had a problem with it when the batteries died in the remote. called their customer service up and the young man on the line was friendly and had us up and running in seconds. I cant say anything bad about the bed other than if you are not strong you will really REALLY want 2 people to put it together
