I have GERD and arthritis in my lower back and hip. Sleeping had become a nightmare between the two. I spoke with my doctor and she wrote me a medical letter of necessity for my FSA program so that I could use that money to buy this bed. I am so glad she did because the improvement in my sleep has been tremendous. being able to raise the head and foot of the bed takes the pressure off my hips and spine and makes it so my acid reflux doesnt come up into my sinuses as I sleep. It was easy to put together but I would not recommend it for a lot of weight. Its stable but does wiggle a little bit and I am 150lbs. I have a purple mattress and it works great with that. The massage function however does not. It vibrates very loudly but you dont really feel it through the mattress. This is probably because of the way the purple is built so it may work fine with a standard mattrice. Overall I am very happy.
