No tools needed to set up, works great, looks great
I thought I would have to spend thousands for an adjustable bed frame base and new mattress, so I did not quite believe this base would be wonderful, but I am delighted.
Delivery: I ordered the full/size base and paid the extra 9.99 for inside delivery, which is both necessary and a ridiculous bargain, because the box is heavy.
Set up: The bed frame ships folded in half. Between the fold are boxes that contain the legs, mattress retainer bar, remote (batteries included), and set up instructions. After you cut away the box, you unfold the bed so that top is on floor, remove a few pieces of cardboard, cut a few zip ties, then attach the legs. The legs twist easily into the holes / you simply rotate until tight. Then you carefully flip the frame right/side up, push the mattress retainer bar into the holes, and insert plug into electrical socket. I set it up by myself. However, if I were doing it again for a full size or bigger, I would have a second person to help me flip it right side up after attaching the legs.
Adjustment and massage: remote has 2 presets (anti/snore zero gravity), plus 3 buttons that you can set yourself. Ive been using the manual head foot controls until I decide if I have a favorite. It is lovely to be comfortable reading in bed! The massage seems weak to me. But 1) my mattress is 12/inch gel foam, and massage likely would be more intense with an 8/ or 10/inch mattress, and 2) I did not buy this base for massage features, so I dont care.
