i read the other reviews about the high quality and substantial weight were true. They are. This table is extremely heavy and well made. When it arrives you will be surprised at how well it is packed (its kind of a pain to unpack it, and a mess of materials). However, we needed to work with the way the center bolt goes into the base to make it tighten fully. And, lastly we needed to visit the herman miller site for the official directions on how the table should be assembled and aligned. However, I think those minor annoyances are the price for getting such a great value on this table.
