Searched and searched for this type of bed and glad we chose this one. It took us all day to assemble but the boards are labeled and we followed the step by step instructions with no issues (dont skip steps). We did need bunky boards even for our spring mattresses. Thank goodness we had two from the bunk bed this replaced and a piece of plywood for the other. Otherwise the mattress caves in at the end. The kids love it! We have an 8 and a 9 year old up top and a 14 year old on the bottom and it works. I have even climbed up on the top with my kids exceeding the 160 lb weight limit with no issues. It is really tall
much taller than the bunk beds we had before so look at measurements. Overall good purchase and I feel like this will hold up. I have no idea how we will get it out of the room though hahaha
