Sturdy table but hard to get an even/looking finish
I want to point out that the table is made of glued together strips of wood, about 4/8 inches long x 1 1/2 inches wide. So, its a butcher block type look. This is not apparent from the photo and is not something that fits with the Shaker table name. If you use stain, it takes several coats to get it to look even / the butcher/block finish really accentuates the different colors and textures of the wood so its tricky to get it to look even. It took 3 coats of stain to get it to look good. Having said that, the table is solid and nicely proportioned. You get what you pay for.
