Ordered one of these last year and it was perfect. It is an excellent piece of solid wood (rubber tree). Ordered another as soon as it came back into stock. This one had wood dust and a strong smell, like sweet, rotting fruit. I have it outside in the sun and hopefully the stink will dissipate. Someone suggested that the 1st one I bought may have been older stock, sitting around for a while, while this new one is made of fresher wood and adhesives. I left the original one unfinished but may have to put a finish on this one if the smell remains. Disappointed.
