This arrived in a box that showed no visible damage but was probably not adequate enough for the weight of this item. Upon opening, three of the corners under the top were damaged and the wood was split. Since the outside showed no damage, we decided to glue and repair the damage and allow it to sit overnight with clamps. Many of the screws were not long enough so we had to replace those. The back portion had a dowel broken off so we had to drill that out and replace it. There are minimal pieces to assemble and this should have been done in an hour at most. Because of all of the repairs it was over a day. I should have returned the whole thing but knew that would be a hassle. Now that it is together I am ok with the final product. I am just disappointed that what should be a nice and new piece of furniture is one with so many repairs.
