    Nice bed for the price

This Victorian vintage bed was purchased for my elderly parents to accommodate a Nectar mattress. The assembly took my husband and me a little over an hour. The tools needed for assembly were included with the bed: a small wrench and a hex wrench. Each slat has a plastic insert on the ends with two little plastic knobs that press fit into the metal frame, so the slats stay put. about 1/3 of the slats were missing one of the two plastic knobs. We could have called the company for replacements, but we needed to set the bed up that day, so we made due. They still worked, so far so good, but it's only been a few weeks since they started sleeping on it. I would suggest the company send a few extra plastic inserts to make up for those that are damaged, whether it happened in packing, shipping and handling or at the factory. Otherwise, the bed does look nice. It holds over 400 lbs with no problem.
