We recently moved into our home which has a small den that Ive made into a Man Cave. Space being tight, I didnt think a full/size recliner would work in there, but I wanted something more than an upright easy/chair in which to watch TV or read. Having had no success at furniture stores, I saw this on and thought it would fit and be a good option. I was mostly right. The chair comes un/assembled, and is not the easiest to put together because of where the fasteners are located; a second set of hands is almost essential. I have a feeling I will be tightening up the fasteners (hex/screws) often, though, as they dont seem to seat themselves tightly in the recessed receivers. The upholstery is a better/quality , fairly soft supple, but definitely . The chair ottoman is well/padded on the arms, seat, headrest and lower/legs. The seat/back gives me sufficient lower/back support, too.
But I was disappointed in the sort of recline it allows / only three pre/set positions, the furthest back of which might be 30 degrees recline. Returning to up right is a little tricky, too, as one has to take the weight off the seat/back before pulling the seat/back release lever; it then springs forward somewhat sharply. One of the more desirable features is the ability to move the ottoman closer or further away, depending on the length of the legs of whos using it. (It also can be used alone as a stool / handy at times.) The chair s nicely smoothly a full 360 degrees.
While I cannot attest to its durability (having only had it for 2 months), for the price, this is a decent chair for a more casual room in the home, but dont confuse it with a true recliner.
Nice Contemporary Chair, But NOT a True Recliner
