I got these for my desk chair that no longer holds the seat up to a proper height. I use the second cushion for back support.
Yesterday I accidently spilled some coffee with cream on one of the pillows. The coffee beaded. I soaked it up with a paper towel with no visible trace of a stain left behind. It must have good protection.
The cushions are comfortable and have kept their shape so far.
