Works great for our 2 year old and in-laws. Replaced a crib with this bed. It was more economic than most wooden days beds. Since the 2 year old is likely to destroy whatever I didnt want to a gorgeous piece of furniture left unguarded. We paired the top section with a 10 memory foam mattress from as well. Great combo for our child. Should last her through elementary school. My SO put it together and only needed my help a few times for the larger sections. Plenty of extra parts and decent instructions. We grabbed an 8 mattress for the lower section later on.
Lastly, Id get a 12 memory foam mattress if I was going to buy one again. When Im laying with the 2 year old in the bed I can feel the rails. Im also 300 pounds so lesser weights wont have that issue.
