All in all, i'd rate this a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. Why?
1 You have to put this thing together! It consists of the top/seat assembly, 2 leg assemblies, and 4 rungs.
Two of the rungs have predrilled screw holes that accept the included screws, which are inserted through pre-drilled countersunk holes in the legs. The seat assembly also attached with 4 of these screws, one in each leg at the top and aligns with a preinserted peg for alignment and I would suppose strength.
2 The screws are included and are require a hex head/allen wrench to assemble. A hex head/Allen wrench is supplied, BUT it is of the short variety. The countersunk holes in the legs are deep enough and the included wrench short enough as to almost render it useless. Not totally, but close. I had to get a T handle allen wrench to be able to insert the screws.
3 Be ready to hold the rungs with screws with your off hand while you tighten with whatever you end up using as your wrench. They will turn if you don't.
4 The quality of the stool is not bad, but not superb either.
All in all, not a bad stoool, but it could use some improvement. If you have other tools, you might be okay, but if you don't, or are mechanically challenged....???
