I had high hopes that these would help prevent my children from climbing through the sides of the loft bed and help keep them contained while trying to put them to bed.they are pretty thin material, and they just have sewn/in strands of fabric to tie them to the bed above.I thought it would all be velcro like the smaller parts that go on the railing.
I also was disappointed that the white portions are not fabric but just open areas (which, looking at actual photos its clear theyre open areas, so thats on me), so the kids can just climb through them, which has resulted in one tie being ripped out already, and the windowed areas being stretched out. What I was really hoping for was a heavier fabric material that would hang relatively flat, and help block out light that is coming from the nightlight, so its not so for the toddler underneath the loft bed (we bought a trundle bed for the area underneath).
I think Ill just end up getting some heavy black fabric and sewing it onto the back of each of the larger pieces, so no more open windows and reduced light bleed through the fabric itself, then replace the ties with velcro straps, lots of work, but cant really return it now the children destroyed it.
Lighter fabric than expected.
