These were easy to put together. It took me about 2 hours and that was with the help of a 4 yr. old and a 1 yr. old. I highly recommend a drill or you will be there for a long time and probably will get blisters from turning the Allen wrench. Directions were easy to understand. They seem very well made for the price. They do dent/scratch easy but they also were not super expensive. For kids I think they are perfect, my kids play more with them then they actually sleep on them.
