I am a 68 woman and I purchased this full sized platform because I have a very good latex/hybrid mattress that was sagging, when it should not have been. When I investigated, I found that these mattresses do better on platforms than on the traditional metal frame/foundations, which I had. I did my research, and all reviewers pointed to the Frame as being the best.
Initially, I thought I would have to hire someone to assemble the platform. But, when I watched the video on the site, I decided that I could try putting it together myself. It was so easy! It took me about 30 minutes in total.
Pros: Everything is in the box, beautifully packed and organized. Everything is done for you, holes are nicely predrilled, everything fits the way it is suppose too. The pieces are so light weight, I had no problem lifting and carrying any of them. The bed is attractive, just as it is. I worried about having to paint or stain it, but it honestly doesnt need a thing. I am not even using a bed skirt anymore. My mattress is very happy on this platform. I am sleeping well, at last.
Tips: 1. Watch their video first. 2. Layout all the pieces. Choose the best looking pieces for how you will be viewing the bed after it is made. 3. The small metal cross dowels are inserted with the X facing you. That way you can use a screwdriver to turn them so that the bolt catches them and screws in properly. 4. If you are going to put felt/rubber/plastic on the feet, it is preferable to do so before you bolt them to the frame, but, if you forget, the frame is so light weight, lifting it is no problem.
