This Nomad frame is good looking and sturdy. After watching how-to-assemble company video it was easy to assemble. I used a rubber mallet to gently tap the legs onto the head and foot boards. This first assembly step is not shown on video. The wooden support slats fit in grooves easily just like in the video. My 12 memory foam mattress sits firmly on frame. I spread an old cotton sheet over the slats for added protection against wear to the bottom of mattress. Very happy I purchased this solid wood platform. The fact that it is made of Virginia tulip poplar is also a plus for me because I grew up in Virginia and love tulip poplar trees. Highly recommend this platform bed frame!
