This bed frame is very well designed. I like the fact that they dont use wood screws Instead, they use bolts that screw into metal nuts that you slide into pre-drilled holes, so no worries about screws tearing out or cracking the wood. The frame is made of solid wood, not plywood or laminated particle board. Very easy to assemble. The hardware kit comes with a wrench, so you wont need any additional tools, but our own Phillips head screw driver does come in handy.
The frame is high enough so that a box spring isnt necessary. In fact, a box spring would make the bed much too high and the frame is sufficient to support a mattress without a box spring. There is plenty of room for storage underneath the frame.
