    IS THE WAY TO BE

I snored on this bed frame way too long. I considered going the route of something cheaper. Something made of some aluminum steel alloy made of exported recyclables and imported back from China out of a sweatshop producing a large carbon footprint making its way over in a giant oil guzzling ship definitely was not worth the $100 dollars Id save. Much less the time it wouldve painstaking took me to blister up my fingers assembling it, with more than likely broken grammar instructions. No, I didnt go the route of a highly flammable chemical ridden dyed emerald green velvet tufted headboard and frame; also imported from overseas. I went with highly sustainable Appalachian poplar wood bed frame, the Nomad model. I took the few minutes, multi-tasking upon my ivory Koehler throne watching the assembly video provided by. It was not necessary, as the instructions are detailed enough for two pages, not even a Reddit user would give it a TLDR downvote rating. The box itself is elongated and not so wide it is an awkward shape to try an carry. Its quite manageable to lift or even drag by the plastic straps wrapped around the box. The pack was shrink wrapped and laid out together as if a Tetris wizard or master of geometry was hired to engineer the boxing of this frame. I unboxed the very efficiently packed pieces. Nothing was broken or missing. I put the timer on and laid out the basic placement of each piece of the frame. After attaching the 8 screws for the ends and legs, I then hand tightened the rails, followed by a few cranks with the provided s-shaped Allen wrench. The wrench included makes it real easy and wont wear out your fingers. Assembly and laying out slats only took me 25 minutes. I then spent around the same amount of time finishing the wood with a beeswax, helping bring out the natural grains of the wood but not darkening it too much. With my foam mattress, the top of my bed sits right at my hip. I am 58 and I can easily just roll in and out. I found this company by searching for bedroom activity friendly bed frames and then with the addition it is definitely caught my attention. As I am also , I wanted to support the dying industry of our nation. As I also do my best to maintain a sustainable eco-friendly lifestyle, seeing they use very renewable poplar wood from the area they are located was the nail in the coffin for me. Im very happy I chose this company amongst the imported garbage flooded marketplace. I chose to have it delivered on Friday as all my orders are made at once and was able to receive almost everything at once or within a few hours from each other. If I really needed something same day or by the next that badly, I can always just head to my local store.
