I've been searching for weeks online and in brick-and-mortar stores trying to find a chair that would be a perfect fit for someone who sits cross-legged all day (but also has a nice tall backrest). That isn't made from cold leather/pleather.
This was the only thing on that ticked all the boxes: Low and unobtrusive arm rests (in fact, they help keep the knees from hyperextending); can recline the back; fabric's not too scratchy; seat is nice and wide (about 20 inches).
It was a massive pain to assemble, and it looks like something the 70's would reject (a darker shade of gray, or black, could fix that). But it IS very comfortable, and feels sturdy.
If you value function over form, its a good investment.
My cat is going to destroy this thing.
Ugly as sin, but great for sitting cross-legged
