I finally found the perfect solid wood bed for my 8 year old son that I do not need to replace as he grows! I really needed storage that would grow with him but I didnt want the standard bed with just big drawers. The Bali bed is just perfect. It works great for his toys right now and I can see him using it for books etc as he gets older. I love the color - its a lovely, warm caramel - and finish. I was worried when it arrived because the boxes came separately, looked pretty banged up and one of them was actually open! Amazingly there was nothing missing and zero scratches!! It was also pretty easy to put together - took a while but DH assembled it while watching tv in one, long evening. My son loves his grown-up bed too and now his big sister wants to swap beds with him:D
