Assembled myself. Wasn’t In a rush so took 4 evenings.. about 8 hours.. But took my time..
First... you want to construct this in the room where this will be in...
Second.. there are (4) boxes which are labeled 1 thru 4... only open one box at a time.. it’ll keep your work organized.
Three... I used some gorilla glue for the wood dowels and “permanent” parts.
Four.. if you ever have to move this.. after you removed the slats and outer rail the bed will separate into (3) parts... easy to move
Five.. I had to contact customer service immediately upon delivery because recv’d an open box and was worried about missing parts.. I mentioned (via email) I wasn’t going to build this in a couple weeks... I received a reply almost immediately not to be concerned about missing parts even I put this together at a later date...!!
The bed is very sturdy! No backer (bunny) board is needed under your mattress as well.
