Makes a wonderful ed storage area for. renters in small spaces
I live in a densely populated city where rents are absurd, so I can only afford to rent a bedroom in a shared apartment. The most recent room Im renting has no additional storage space in the house. So if I own it, it must go in my bedroom. I spent hours online looking for a sturdy ed storage system that is free/standing (i.e. renter friendly). I couldnt find anything close to what I needed. Then I realized that I could use a bed for storage, and I ended up going with this one. It works nicely for my needs. I have my bed placed perpendicularly under the , and my dresser fits under the as wellso there is no wasted space under the .
The bed is sturdy enough to hold: large storage bins with out of season clothing, extra linens, extra packaged food items I cant fit into my food storage area, my bicycle, a light weight guest mattress, a couple of unassembled solid wood end tables, a scanner and a printer I dont have space to leave out when theyre not being used and various smaller light weight items I need but dont have a good place for. I id purchase a bunkie board to create a more uniform surface for the items to sit on. I also have several cat beds and a cat cave box for my kitty who loves to jump onto the and chill out there.
This works well as a storage area and has saved me alot of hassle.
