I scoured the internet for weeks and visited a few furniture stores. We decided to to with after visiting the designers actual website and seeing that other notable department stores also carry this bed. We were worried it would be rickety or come damaged, but delivery was spot on. The bed was easy to put together, but it did take two people and a few hours. I purchased a foam mattress for the top to allow for the top clearance and a regular spring full size mattress for the bottom. It is very comfortable, enough for me to sleep with my kids. The openess of the bottom allows for my 6 1/2 feet tall husband to lay with my kids as well. We are glad we got this bed.
