Since starting this work-from-home adventure with the kids at home all day 6.5 weeks ago, Ive moved my workspace from the living room to the dining room to the rec room and finally to my bedroom. Not thrilled about settling into the bedroom, but its the only place with a door I can close during meetings (which is most of my day). Needed to upgrade the wobbly tv table I was using to something more sturdy, but small enough for this little corner of my room. Found this cute little desk thats the perfect size - not bad for $40!
Assembly was easy for this an pro. There were 2 screw holes that werent drilled properly, so I had to find a couple bigger screw to use instead, which worked out fine. I do wish the screws on the top went in flush so they wouldnt be as visible. The quality definitely isnt as good as with their cam screws and flush screws on surfaces.
Ive only used it for 2 days so far, but its a vast improvement over my wobbly tray table. I like that it has the second level for my monitor and laptop so I can fit a mouse and keyboard on the main desk, and have a little storage under the shelf. The edge of the desk is a little sharp, but putting a wrist rest along the front fixed that. I have a feeling the paint will probably wear away from the edge fairly soon, but thats fine- Im really hoping I dont need to use this for more than a few months until my kids can go back to camp/school so the house is quiet enough for me to move back into the dining room!
