It was aming how the box was packed / quite an engineering
I looked for a long time for a TV stand that was unusual. I wanted something with drawers and doors, not just a plain cabinet. I actually found this on another site, searched for it on and found it for 70 less! Before I go further with this saga, Im a 66 year old woman and I live alone. This box arrived with no damage and was HUGE. I literally had to walk it into my condo from the front porch. No way was I able to drag it. It was aming how the box was packed / quite an engineering feat!!! Every piece separated by plastic sheets / styrofoam pieces that filled in all the spaces. The hardware pieces were all in separate little baggies labeled with their corresponding letter. The wooden pieces were labeled with their corresponding number. The directions were written out step/by/step with very explicit instructions giving you the corresponding letters and numbers. Im impatient and stubborn / and didnt want to wait for one of my kids to come help me assemble it. It literally took me 6 hours. But it wasnt a frenzied or confused or frzled six hours, doing, undoing and redoing as I have experienced with other building projects. Every step was easy to achieve, with one exception. And heres my one tip. Others have commented on the difficulty of the tiny screws and arcs that hold the glass to the door. And I had the same problems. It was just impossible to get the screw in enough to tighten the arc. I finally tried on one of the holes to nail a very thin nail into the hole, pull it out, and then the screw went in easily. And I did have to ask my daughter to come over to help me mount the right door hinge / Im right handed and could not hold that door and screw in the hinge at the same time. I am THRILLED with this piece. It is absolutely beautiful and looks like at least an 800 piece of furniture. And can I just say / whoever invented cam screws and cam bolts is a FREAKIN GENIUS!
