LOVE the finished bed-frame, but follow the directions!!
This bed frame comes with step-by-step directions with pictures that are easy-to-follow, but you MUST read everything on the directions and pay attention to small details. For example, we had some difficulty when we realized the wooden slabs MUST be facing upwards instead of downwards. We were halfway through when we realized this, and had to pull the plastic pieces holding the wood slabs out and start over. When assembling the drawers, we had at least one of them backwards and had to reassemble it from the start. So follow the directions and you should be able to avoid little errors like these.
We only had one incidence in which the suggested screw wouldn't fit the corresponding hole. Other than that, everything aligned easily. Be sure NOT to tighten the screws all the way until all the other screws for that step are at least semi-tightened.
I would say it's a two person job, but probably could be done alone if physically strong enough to hold up the headboard and screw at the same time. It would take much longer alone than with two people. It took my husband and me about 2 to 3 hours to assemble together.
