Ignore reviews that say this bed is not solid or safe. This bed is very solid and I dont have any worries about the safety of my grandkids sleeping in it. I would highly recommend using an electric drill with allen and phillips head bits to speed up the installation. I would have given it 5 stars but one of the barrel nuts was missing and I had to run out to a hardware store to get another one. Luckily the hardware store had one that worked. Total time to construct it was 3 hours with the trip to the hardware store. Without the missing part it would have only taken 2 hours.
